Samebell is made by Raging Waters Tech Labs SL (Spain), which is responsible for your data. This policy explains what the app stores, why, and how to delete it. Questions: hello@samebell.app.

What we store
- Your account: your email address and the name you choose. If you use Sign in with Apple, we store the identifier Apple gives us (and the relay address, if you hide your email).
- What you put in schedules: reminder titles, descriptions and times, who is in each schedule, and who marked a reminder done or skipped and when.
- Your phone: a push token so we can send notifications, the app version, language, whether notifications and high priority are turned on, on Android whether it can ring on time (exact alarms and battery saving), and how many reminders are set to ring on it.
- How you use the app: which features you use, error reports when something breaks, and which test features are switched on for your account, and who you said you look after when setting up (yourself, a pet, a parent…). Never what you write in your reminders or schedules, never your name or email. We use PostHog for this.
We don't sell your data. Samebell has no ads today. If we add them in the future, we'll update this policy first and ask for your permission where the law requires it.
Why
To run the app: to sign you in, keep everyone in a schedule in sync, ring the same reminders on each phone, and tell the others when someone marks one done. The legal basis is providing the service you asked for (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
To keep the app working and improve it: fixing errors, trying new features with some accounts before everyone, and seeing which features get used. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a reliable, better Samebell (art. 6(1)(f)), and you can object at any time by writing to us.
Who can see it
The people in a schedule see its reminders, its members' names, and who marked what. Nobody else does. Services that help run Samebell process data on our behalf: Apple (push notifications and Sign in with Apple), Google (our servers on Google Cloud, Android notifications and Sign in with Google), Resend (sign-in emails), Cloudflare (network), Aiven (database hosting), PostHog (error reports, feature usage and test features) and Anthropic (the AI in the routine generator, see below). The data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt and Madrid), except what the routine generator sends to Anthropic.
Routine generator
On our website you can make a reminder routine without an account, by writing it yourself or by pasting or uploading instructions (text, a photo or a PDF).
- The AI: if you tick the box, what you paste or upload is sent to Anthropic (Claude), only to turn it into a routine. We don't keep it. Anthropic processes it on our behalf in the United States, under its data processing terms and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses; it doesn't use it to train its models and deletes it after a short period.
- Share only what's needed: paste just the instructions, without names, addresses, ID numbers or health details that aren't needed. If it's about someone else, only share it if you're allowed to. If you're not sure, write the routine by hand (no AI) or leave the person out of it: just what to do and when.
- Shared links: when you create a link, we store the routine (title, reminders and whatever you wrote in it) so anyone with the link can see it and copy it into their Samebell. Links use a long random code, aren't shown to search engines, and are deleted after 60 days, or earlier if you delete them.
- Usage: we count routines made, links opened and copied, and whether from a phone or a computer. Never what the routine says.
The legal basis is your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a), and art. 9(2)(a) if it includes health information), given by ticking the box before the AI reads anything and by using a button in the last step, which makes the link. You can withdraw it by not using the AI or by deleting the link.
Launch list
If you leave your email on samebell.app to hear when the app is out, it's emailed to us at hello@samebell.app and we use it only for that one message. We delete it once we've sent it, or sooner if you ask. The legal basis is your consent.
How long
As long as you have an account. The activity feed is cleaned up after 90 days. When you delete your account, your email, devices and sign-ins are erased; your name stays on past entries in schedules you shared, so the others' history stays intact.
Your rights
You can see, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict its use. Delete your account in the app (Me > Delete my account) or write to us. You can also complain to the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD).
Children
Samebell isn't aimed at children under 14.
